How do I know what version of Internet Explorer (IE) I'm using?

First Option

Checking to see what version of IE your computer is using is easy. Open Internet Explorer and click "Help" on the toolbar or press Alt-H. From the drop-down menu, select "About Internet Explorer" or press "a." The pop-up dialog window will list what version of IE you are currently using.

Second Option

If your toolbar has been disabled, you can also check what version of Internet Explorer you are running by clicking on the gear icon located in the top-right corner of Internet Explorer or by pressing Alt-X. Within the drop-down menu, select "About Internet Explorer" or press "a." The window will list what version of IE you are currently using.

About Internet Explorer is at the bottom of the Help menu Make sure your browser is IE11 or above. IE10 is not supported with our online banking.

Updating IE10 to IE11

You can update Internet Explorer by downloading and installing it from Microsoft:

Download Internet Explorer

Find your language from the list on their site (English, for example), and select the version you wish to download (referring to your version of Windows), then click the Download button.

The above link provides the full, offline versions, meaning that all the installation files you need are included. You're welcome to use the online version they offer although the offline one is best if you're having trouble with your current IE install or you want to put the file on a flash drive.

Important: You should only update Internet Explorer from Microsoft!

Several legitimate websites offer Internet Explorer downloads, but many not-so-legitimate websites do as well. The safest option is to update IE directly from the browser's developer - Microsoft.
